Known as one of Jamaica’s grand voices of dancehall music, Reanno Gordon, aka “Busy Signal,” who will drop his fifth album, titled “Parts of the Puzzle,” this summer, has carved out a unique niche in Jamaica’s musical arena, blending dancehall and reggae with Afro beats, salsa and other international sounds.

Busy Signal, a music maker of epic proportion, has created hardcore bashment anthems, and transcended global hits in collaboration with Major Lazer. His melodious vocal in major commercials for Bacardi Rum, Pepsi and the brand, LG, has made his voice one of the most recognizable on the music scene.

The performer whose best-selling single “Step Out” from the album with the same name, made him a household name, and a breakout success on the dancehall scene. But 10 years before that success, Busy Signal, had burst on to the dancehall scene as part of iconic deejay Bounty Killer’s Alliance crew, becoming a leader in dance hall music, and a solo artist.

His successful projects, “Loaded” and “D.O.B” further showcased Signal’s “outside-of-the-box” lyrical displays and eclectic ear for rhythms, and in 2012, he went back to basics, with “Reggae Music Again,” an all-Reggae set, selected as one of the top 10 albums of the year, by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).

According to Jennifer Valentin, publicity manager for VP Music Group, Inc., Busy Signal, has enjoyed a fruitful partnership with Major Lazer, who featured him on their 2013 international smash “Watch Out For This (Bumaye)” and “Jump” off 2017’s Know No Better EP, as well as on the title track from No Doubt’s Major Lazer-produced album, “Push and Shove.”

A remixed version of “Jump” could be heard in Bacardi’s “Dance Floor” commercial campaign currently airing on TVs across North America. A pioneer in dancehall and Afro fusion, Busy Signal has also cultivated deep ties with Africa, frequently performing in countries such as Zimbabwe and Gambia, according to Valentin.

His recent hits include, “Stay So,” “One Way” and newest release, “Got To Tell You.”

“With one foot firmly planted in the core Caribbean market and the other always exploring new sounds and styles, count on Busy to go on another epic musical journey,” said Valentin.
