Several West Indies stars are included in a 13-man squad for next month’s hurricane relief Twenty20 International against a Rest of the World XI in London.

Captain Carlos Braithwaite — along with superstars Chris Gayle, Andre Russell and Evin Lewis — were selected for the May 31 contest at the historic Lord’s Ground.

The high-profile quartet missed the three-match series in Pakistan earlier this month, forcing selectors to send a depleted squad.

Cricket West Indies (CWI) chief selector Courtney Browne said, “We welcome the return of the players who missed the Pakistan series and are delighted to recall Andre Russell to the squad, as we believe he will have a key role in our white ball cricket.”

Wicketkeeper Denesh Ramdhin and fast bowler Keemo Paul have kept their places after encouraging performances at both the regional and international levels.

Still missing, however, are Trinidad’s spinner Sunil Narine and all-rounder Kieron Pollard, who are playing in the Indian Premier League (ILP).

Veteran batsman Marlon Samuels, the only senior player on the Pakistan tour, has been retained on the squad.

The West Indies will take on a Rest of the World XI, led by England white ball skipper Eoin Morgan.

Funds from the match will go towards helping to rebuild stadia in the Caribbean damaged by Hurricanes Irma and Maria last September.
