The second round political debates of what will be a 12 bout vetting process to decide the best suited candidate to represent the Democratic Party in the 20/20 presidential race for the White House is nearing with a July 30 and July 31 national television broadcast from Detroit, Michigan.
Following from the first last month which polled former Vice President, Joe Biden and California Senator, Kamala Harris as the standout candidates from a field of 20 potential representatives, the next round will likely narrow the contest among challengers hoping to stop Republican President Donald Trump in his bid for a second term in office.
Harris struck a blow as one of the frontrunners when she forced the most popular Democrat to revisit his past associations with racists and segregationists and in bolstering a perception that although not racist he might be an enabler.
The Californian seemed to back her colleague into a corner, one he never imagined when she explained how she was a benefactor of the busing laws he disapproved and without it might not have been a contender.
Biden stood his ground however it seemed her argument might have cost him the tangible lead he held as the favored Democrat to beat Trump

Ten candidates are slated each night for the CNN debates.
Along with an apparent Harris/Biden focus of attention, pundits are already staking bets on a Sanders/Warren confrontation that could yield either a surge or a plunge in the candidates’ popularity polling.
The two progressive candidates are slated for first night debates along with Steve Bullock, Pete Butigieg, Beto O’Rourke, Amy Klabouchar, Marianne Williamson, John Delaney, Tim Ryan and John Hickenlooper. The following evening Sens. Harris and Biden will join Mayor Bill de Blasio, Sens. Kirsten Gillibrand, Cory Booker, Julian Castro, Andrew Yang, Michael Bennett, Jay Inslee and Tulsi Gabbard.
Moderators Don Lemon, Jake Thapper and Dana Bash will conduct the two-hour proceedings from Detroit’s Fox Theater beginning at 9 p.m.
A recent poll revealed that if the national election was held now, former vice president Joe Biden would beat the Twitter-happy Republican by a whopping margin.
Reportedly, a 53 to 40 margin puts the senator ahead of Liberal, Maine Senator, Sanders, Massachusetts own Elizabeth Warren and a few other worthy opponents.

A third debate will be held on Sept. 12 and 13.
