ECIPS International Music Festival in association with Arise Hospitality Solutions presents the first, preeminent, multi-genre, multi- cultural, family festival for Summer 2017, inside Roy Wilkins Park on Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017.

The ECIPS Music Festival celebrates cultural diversity and will feature an eclectic, renowned line up including: R&B, Reggae, Dancehall, Hip Hop, Calpyso, and Reggaton — representing the diverse communities and cultural flavors of New York City.

“ECIPS International, pronounced, [eee-sips] is “spice” spelled backwards,” said Suzan Peart, whose vision for “uniting” her community “through food and music” is the driving force behind this production.

Billed as a “legacy festival” patrons will see performances by multi-award winning, platinum artist, Akon, who will be honored on stage for his humanitarian work. Dancehall’s newest sensation, Alkaline; Hip Hop’s Remy Ma and Reggaton’s De La Ghetto will also share the stage.

Representing reggae roots will be Queen Ifrica, Half Pint and Teflon. Elephant Man, “the energy god” and Kip Rich are also in the mix. R&B favorite, Freddie Jackson will sing for the ladies and Papa Michigan, Lady G, Nardo Ranks, Mega Banton, Tinga Stewart and Roy Ryan will perform a nostalgic set celebrating the music of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Genjah and Madadan, B.O.Y. and Donyale Renne are also on the bill for this big event which starts at 1 pm.

Straight out of Jamaica is Miss Kitty, “the sexy diva” who will be the host for the day. Fatta Diamond of “Stinga Movement” will be on the ones and twos.

Organizers promise to visually and aesthetically transform the park into an oasis filled with beautiful tents, colorful decorations and vendors sharing a vast array of delicious foods and beverages, flags, cultural and traditional garb, jewelry, arts and crafts and so much more.

ECIPS International Music Festival boasts a “community first” philosophy. “Our goal is to demonstrate that we as a community can unite and enjoy a full day of family fun and good food, while being entertained by some of the best in the industry,” said Peart.

Families are encouraged to bring their blankets and beach chairs and come to the first ever cross-cultural celebration of its kind inside Roy Wilkins Park. The atmosphere will be relaxing and promises to bring an elevated level of enjoyment to the community.

Sponsors include: Enudrii, Ariesun Alkaline Water and Island Energy Drink. Tickets are priced at $70.00 for general admission; $150.00 for VIP, which comes with light refreshment served throughout the day and $250 for EVIP, which comes with full meal and pastries throughout the day.
