For a few hours, everyday life slowed. The pressure lifted. Connection took center stage as IYKYK Collective hosted its second annual Women’s Wellness Day in celebration of International Women’s Month.
Held at The Block Yoga Studio & Cafe in Brooklyn, the event felt more like a gathering than a traditional event. Instead, it was a carefully curated experience rooted in sisterhood, self-care, and genuine connection.
From the moment guests walked in, the energy was clear: this was a space designed for women to exhale.

“We don’t really get a lot of opportunities to connect because we’re always moving,” said co-founder Autumn Carter. “This is a space to slow down, meet other women, and just enjoy being present.”
And present they were.

The day offered wellness and fun. Pilates sessions got bodies moving. Conversations felt like catching up with old friends. Guests enjoyed manicures, facials, and massages. The space became a true reset for mind and body.
But what truly set the event apart was its intention.
IYKYK Collective, a growing community known for curating social experiences centered on networking and intentional relationship-building, doesn’t just host events. It creates moments.
“We curate every activity and conversation specifically for each event,” Carter said. “We want it to feel special every single time.”
That attention to detail showed up everywhere. Thoughtfully designed experiences stood out. Goodie bags were packed with products from supporting brands. Nothing felt random; everything felt considered.
And yes, the “yap” sessions, the unfiltered, laugh-out-loud conversations between women, were just as essential as the wellness components.
Because beyond the Pilates and pampering, the real takeaway was connection.

Attendees mingled, exchanged stories, and built new relationships. It felt organic and effortless. This reflected the collective’s mission to make community feel less intimidating and more accessible.
Behind the scenes, Carter and her team put in weeks of planning, constant communication, and coordination to bring the event to life.
“We were talking every day for weeks,” she said. “But seeing everyone here, enjoying it, connecting, it makes it all worth it.”
As a DJ, event coordinator, and entrepreneur of Guyanese descent, Carter brings cultural perspective and creative vision to all she builds. This is clear in how IYKYK has grown into a space where women feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
By day’s end, guests left with goodie bags, full hearts, new connections, and a reminder that community still matters.
And if you know, you know, this is one event no one wants to miss twice.
