Reggae music ambassador and GRAMMY® Award-winning reggae artist Kabaka Pyramid continues his monumental 2025 world tour with historic Asian performances.

Ronnie Tomlinson, the Jamaican-born, Brooklyn-based entertainment publicist, told Caribbean Life on Monday, Sept. 29, that Kabaka, on Aug. 30, “delivered a robust set at the ACC X Music Festival in Gwangju, South Korea, marking his debut in the country.

“Shortly after, he brought his fiery lyrics and roots-reggae energy to Singapore for his first-ever live show there, further expanding reggae’s global reach,” added Tomlinson, CEO of New York-based Destine Media. “These milestone appearances come as part of Kabaka Pyramid’s ongoing global tour, which will see him perform across more than 10 countries this year.”

Kabaka said: “It’s amazing to see the genuine love that people from so far with rich cultures of their own have for our music and culture.

“In Singapore, people cried tears that I actually reached and performed heights of appreciation,” he added. “Korea was definitely an introduction to the music but with a warm welcome, and, of course, we got them moving and vibing right through the show.”

Afterwards, Tomlinson said Kabaka joined the Far East Rulers Cruise, a themed reggae and dancehall cruise in Japan, hosted by the internationally-renowned sound system Mighty Crown.

Dubbed “Bring Back the Love,” Tomlinson said the cruise sailed from Sept. 11 to 16, with Kabaka bringing his message of truth and revolution to fans at sea.

Kabaka returned to the United States from Asia for a special New York appearance.

On Sept. 27, Tomlinson said he headlined the Capital One City Parks SummerStage at the Coney Island Amphitheater, Brooklyn, joined by fellow Jamaican star Lila Iké.

Tomlinson said the performance was “an unforgettable celebration of reggae and roots culture for East Coast fans. ”

Adding to the excitement, Kabaka recently released his latest single “Jamaica”, produced by the artist himself under his Bebble Rock label.

“The track is a heartfelt ode to his homeland and a continuation of his reputation for delivering socially conscious, lyrically potent music,” Tomlinson said.

Beyond his work as a recording artist, she said Kabaka has been “steadily building his career as a producer, crafting music for himself and others while pushing reggae’s sound forward.

“His dual role as performer and producer reflects his deep commitment to elevating reggae culture on a global scale,” Tomlinson said.
