Discarded West Indies player Xavier Marshall is now playing for the United States in the Regional Super50 which began on Jan. 30, after being named in the 14-man squad for the One-Day tournament.

Marshall, 31 played seven Tests and 24 ODIs for the West Indies but failed to make much of an impression during his career.

The Jamaican managed just two Test half centuries and a single hundred in ODIs — an unbeaten 157 against Canada l0 years ago.

Marshall disappeared from international cricket in 2009 following his poor form and last appeared in the West Indies domestic competition five years ago when he represented Jamaica in the one-day tournament.

United States will do battle in Group B of the Regional Super50 from Jan. 30 to Feb. 24, alongside Jamaica Scorpions, Leeward Islands Hurricanes, Guyana Jaguars and English County Kent.
