After a successful player draft, the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) announced team squads for the 2025 season.

The upcoming CPL season will feature major international players along with skilled regional talents, promising an exciting tournament.

The Saint Lucia Kings, the current champions, are prepared for the 2025 season with a mix of experienced players and new exciting additions.

Key overseas players Tim David and Tabraiz Shamsi are returning to bolster the Saint Lucia Kings with their exceptional T20 skills.

The Kings have maintained their championship-winning squad from 2024 and made strategic additions, including promising leg-spinner Micah McKenzie and the return of Javelle Glen from the 2020 campaign.

Former champion Guyana Amazon Warriors return with a strong and familiar squad. Leading the team once again is the experienced Imran Tahir, who will be joined by World Cup-winning all-rounder Moeen Ali.

The squad welcomes explosive New Zealand batter Glenn Phillips, Guyana Harpy Eagles Vice-Captain Kemol Savory, the hard-hitting all-rounder Quentin Sampson, and spinning all-rounder Riyad Latif.

The return of local stars Shimron Hetmyer, Romario Shepherd, and Gudakesh Motie further bolsters the Warriors’ campaign.

Barbados Royals entered and secured a powerful and well-balanced squad. Their lineup features the explosive batting duo of Brandon King and Sherfane Rutherford, alongside the dynamic Quinton de Kock and Azmatullah Omarzai, giving the Royals formidable firepower.

With two overseas player slots still to be confirmed, the Royals are expected to announce additional international signings soon.

The Royals have also drafted standout performers from the inaugural West Indies Breakout League, which includes promising leg-spinner Zishan Motara and leading batter Kofi James.

Trinbago Knight Riders have retained their formidable and experienced Trinidadian core, with Kieron Pollard, Nicholas Pooran, and Sunil Narine all set to return. The addition of Andre Russell further boosts their already impressive lineup.

The Knight Riders have signed overseas players Alex Hales and Mohammad Amir.

The team also welcomes back Colin Munro and Darren Bravo, a long-serving Knight Riders stalwart.

The Antigua & Barbuda Falcons team includes a blend of international experience and exciting local talent. Bangladesh legend Shakib Al Hasan leads the team, which is joined by fellow internationals Imad Wasim and Naveen-ul-Haq.

The local contingent includes Obed McCoy and Rahkeem Cornwall, both acquired from the Barbados Royals with the additions of Jayden Seales and Odean Smith.

The St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots drafted two high-profile acquisitions: Jason Holder and Alick Athanaze, both joining from the Barbados Royals.

They also welcome back South African Rilee Rossouw and all-rounder Corbin Bosch, further adding Trinidadian spin-bowling all-rounders Jyd Goolie and Navin Bidaisee.

The 2025 Republic Bank CPL begins on Aug. 14, with the opening match featuring the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons and the St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots at Warner Park, St. Kitts. Matches will also be hosted across Antigua & Barbuda, Saint Lucia, Barbados, and Trinidad & Tobago before the tournament culminates in the final in Guyana on Sept. 21.
