Jamaican Reggae and Dancehall artist Amlak Redsquare commands attention with “Fast N Pray,” a resonant single produced by DJ Baby Ace that has generated early buzz and now features an official visualizer, as highlighted by Caribbean entertainment publicist Flair Lindsey.
Lindsay told Caribbean Life on Monday, April 6, that the record is viewed as a defining entry in New Age Roots, anchored by Amlak’s commanding voice, militant consciousness, and unwavering spiritual message.
Lindsey said Amlak Redsquare and DJ Baby Ace’s union feels both intentional and organic—two creatives aligned in purpose, sound, and message.
She said producer and artist DJ Baby Ace, who shapes contemporary Caribbean sound and is known for his genre-blending productions, has collaborated with Amlak on past releases, including “Rate Who Rate You” and “Itz Real.”
Reflecting on their connection, Baby Ace shares, “I first came across Amlak after seeing Spragga Benz endorse him as one to watch. From there, I really studied his work and was drawn to the depth and perspective in his writing.”
Lindsey said that the foundation of mutual respect and creative chemistry makes “Fast N Pray” a natural progression—”one that fully realizes their shared vision.”
She said Amlak Redsquare (Omar Gordon), a respected singjay from East Kingston and Redsquare camp affiliate, is known for music rooted in truth, social awareness, and Rastafarian ideology, and has released several acclaimed singles and collaborated with leading reggae artists.
With works like The Book of Judges, which received critical acclaim, and “Run Di Place,” which topped local charts, she said Amlak has evolved into a purposeful voice in reggae and dancehall.
“On ‘Fast N Pray,’ his gravel-toned delivery cuts through with authority and conviction, offering a timely reminder of the importance of faith, balance, and spiritual grounding in an increasingly chaotic world,” Lindsey said. “Driven by intention, the track delivers more than sound — it delivers substance.”
“I hope listeners take away the positivity and really apply that mindset — to do good, to stay grounded, to pray,” said DJ Baby Ace. “We need more music right now that encourages respect, self-awareness, and spiritual discipline.
“There’s a gap, and this song speaks directly to that,” he added.
Amlak wrote, “Lindsey said the song reflects his ability to translate experience and spiritual insight into music that resonates across generations.”
She said “Fast N Pray” also reflects “a creative shift for DJ Baby Ace, known for his uptempo Dancehall productions.”
“I wanted this to feel different — mellow, soothing, almost meditative,” DJ Baby Ace said. “I built the foundation to tap into that positive, spiritual energy, and Amlak brought it to life perfectly.
“His delivery makes the message hit even harder,” he added.
Lindsey said the result is a seamless fusion of roots reggae, soul, and contemporary sound, bridging tradition with innovation.
She said the official visualizer, directed by @roesummerz and filmed in Kingston, Jamaica, extends the record’s message through calming, introspective imagery.
“Designed as a visual meditation, it mirrors the song’s central theme — finding stillness and faith amid the fast pace of life — offering viewers a moment of reflection and spiritual reset,” Lindsey said.
Released via Shinealous Records, Lindsey said “Fast N Pray” is a testament to the impact of conscious music delivered with authenticity and intention.
As Amlak Redsquare rises as a leading voice in modern roots reggae, and DJ Baby Ace proves his versatility as a producer, Lindsey said this collaboration signals a movement.
