Grammy winning group Morgan Heritage will be hosting a pre-Grammy party celebrating reggae music at Suite 36 on Jan. 26. The musical family band is once again a Grammy-nominee for their 2017 album “Avrakedabra,” and their company Golden CBD Water is going to host the celebratory party honoring other reggae nominees, the company said in a statement.

“We believe it’s our duty to bring our community together as a whole during Grammy week and honor the nominees for their achievements and amazing contribution to the genre for that year,” the statement read.

“The Golden Grammy Party” is honoring other Grammy nominees for Best Reggae Album category including Chronixx, Common Kings, J Boog, and Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley.

This is the first time a Grammy party in New York will be celebrating those nominated in the Reggae category, and the group hopes similar occasions become a frequent mainstay.

“Just like all the other genres that are included in the GRAMMY Awards Ceremony. We hope that this will be the first of many Golden Grammy Parties for years to come.”

The event will be hosted by WBLS radio personality Dahved Levy, and popular comedian, Majah Hype. Performances will be by Jermere Morgan and K’Coneil.

“The Golden Grammy Party” at Suite 36 [16 W. 36th Street between Fifth and Sixth avenues in Manhattan, (212) 695-0036, www.suite36nyc.com]. Jan. 26 at 11 pm – 4 am. $150 and up.
