The atmosphere at this year’s World Creole Music Festival in Dominica was nothing short of electric, with performances that celebrated the heart and rhythm of the Caribbean, according to Marie Driven, a Brooklyn-based Haitian-American entertainment promoter.

She told Caribbean Life on Monday, Nov. 3, that Dominican-born Rudy Ru$h was one of the standout performers at the Oct. 23-25 festival.

Driven, managing partner of the entertainment promotion company, PlaybookMG, said Rudy Ru$h shared the stage with Dancehall legend Vybz Kartel and other “great artists, delivering a powerful reminder of Dominica’s growing influence on global music.

“As his upcoming single, ‘Anywhere We Go’, played through the venue, Rudy’s energy added to the night’s excitement, drawing the crowd into a wave of movement and celebration,” said Driven about Rush’s Oct. 25 performance.

“The track played by DJ Envy, one of New York City’s top DJs and co-host of The Breakfast Club, embodied the very spirit of carnival, uniting fans through rhythm and vibe,” she added.

Driven said renowned host MC Nuffy introduced Rudy as “the future of Dominica’s music,” a statement that resonated deeply with fans and fellow performers alike.

“Rudy’s humble gratitude and commanding presence reflected a true artist rooted in purpose, one who represents both the island’s legacy and its bright future,” she said.

Blending soca, dancehall, and tropical pop, Driven said “Anywhere We Go” captures “the essence of freedom, celebration, and Caribbean pride.”

Initially slated for release on Oct. 23, Driven said the single will now officially drop in the third week of November, “just in time for Thanksgiving across all major platforms.

“With Carnival 2026 on the horizon, Rudy Ru$h is preparing to carry this anthem forward as a unifying soundtrack for the season,” she said.

“Dominica made me who I am,” Rudy shared following his performance. “I’m just proud to bring our sound and energy to the world.”

With his humility, talent, and island-rooted sound, Driven said Rudy Ru$h is “carving out a space that honors Dominica’s rich culture, proving that the next chapter of Caribbean music is both authentic and unstoppable.”
