Dancehall superstar Sean Paul has lent his voice to the official remix of Moliy’s Billboard Hot 100 hit “Shake It to the Max (Fly),” dropping it on Friday, July 11 via Bashment Sound.
The high-energy remix, titled “Shake It to the Max (TUFF)”, is produced by acclaimed hitmakers Disco Neil and Silent Addy.
“Already surging toward the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100, ‘Shake It to the Max’ has taken over social media with a viral dance challenge embraced by the likes of J-Hope, Victoria Monét, Vic Mensa, and Cash Cobain,” Ronnie Tomlinson, the Jamaican-born CEO of New York-based Destine Media, told Caribbean Life.
“Now, with Sean Paul’s infectious verse and signature flow, the remix is poised to push the track into the cultural stratosphere — and solidify its claim as 2025’s definitive song of the summer,” added the Brooklyn resident.
Tomlinson said “Shake It to the Max” is only the third dancehall track to crack the Hot 100 this decade, following Byron Messia and Burna Boy’s “Talibans II” (No. 99, 2023) and Nicki Minaj’s remix of Skillibeng’s “Crocodile Teeth” (No. 100, 2021).
“With Sean Paul now in the mix, the record is primed for an explosive second wind on both charts and dance floors worldwide,” she said.
Sean Paul said: “This one had the right energy from early — the riddim, the vibe, the movement — all TUFF.
“Moliy’s vocals is definitely catchy, and the way people been reacting to this tune globally, I was honored to jump on it,” he added. “Big up Bashment Sound for bringing us together.”
Tomlinson said the remix comes on the heels of Sean Paul’s own viral release “TUFF,” part of Bashment Sound’s Bashment Riddim series, “further cementing his role as the genre’s global ambassador and one of its most consistent hitmakers.”
Sean Paul is currently co-headlining the Good Vibes US tour with hip hop star Wiz Kahlifa.
