West Indies Women were defeated heavily by nine wickets to England, losing the three-match T20 International series at Hove, England.
After losing the first T20 by 124 runs, West Indies women failed to fire with the bat and were restricted to a paltry 81/9 after 20 overs.
In reply, England cruised to victory, reaching 82/1 from just 9.2 overs to seal the series, with the final match set to be played.
England won the toss and opted to bowl. Opener Qiana Joseph was out for four off the inning’s third delivery, and skipper Hayley Matthews (six) could not repeat her first-game heroics as Em Arlott bowled her in the fourth over.
Zaida James was dismissed soon after for six, but Shemaine Campbelle showed some resistance, scoring 26 runs. Veteran Stafanie Taylor was dismissed without scoring after two balls, with the West Indies slumping to 29/4.
Campbelle and Shabika Gajnabi (22) then put on a 34-run partnership before spinner Charlie Dean had Campbelle caught by Arlott. Wicketkeeper Mandy Mangru was bowled for a first-ball duck by Dean, and Aaliyah Alleyne was dismissed for a duck by pacer Lauren Bell, leaving the score at 69/7.

Gajnabi and Afy Fletcher (two) were also dismissed soon after. Karishma Ramharack (five not out) and Cherry-Ann Fraser (four not out) were the last pair at the crease.
Right-arm fast bowler Arlott bagged 3/14, Lauren Bell took 3/28, and Dean (2/12) bagged a pair.
In reply, England got off to a bad start as opener Danni Wyatt-Hodge was bowled by James off the first ball, but skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt (55 not out) and Sophia Dunkley (24 not out) carried their team across the finish line with little effort.
Sciver-Brunt struck four boundaries from 30 balls, and Dunkley’s 24 runs came from 25 balls, with three fours included.
