Miss World Guyana is on the hunt for the next queen, as the pageant makes preparation to return to the stage, after two years of detailed preparation due to the COVID-19 pandemic said National Director Miss World Guyana, Natasha Blu Martindale.
Applications for the pageant will close on May 26, 2022. This deadline will facilitate some changes being implemented by Davindra Dave Lalltoo who recently accepted the appointment of chairman and is excited to be a part of the Miss World Guyana family.
The nationwide screening schedule dates in Guyana are May 14, New Amsterdam, May 15, Linden, May 21, Georgetown and May 22 in Bartica.
“Miss World Guyana is back; and this time, much is to be expected. One of the world’s greatest women empowerment events continues its local journey to find a well-rounded young woman of Guyanese descent between the ages of 17 to 26 looking to fulfill her dreams to represent Guyana at Miss World 2022 and expand her reach, while fulfilling her social responsibilities under Miss World’s ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ project,” said Martindale.
She noted that those hoping to vie for the coveted title of Miss World Guyana 2022 can expect, at least for this year’s competition, free participation as finalists, one more reason to take advantage of this unique opportunity.
“In addition, the prize package boasts a lofty value of GYD$5,500,000, a car, designer wardrobe, scholarship opportunities and the chance to showcase Guyana to the world.”
