Nevis‑born, Brooklyn‑raised singer‑songwriter Abena Amory returns with a powerful new release, “Love Is Not a Game,” a soulful, emotionally charged record that blends warm island influences with contemporary R&B depth.
According to Terance Williams, manager, Team Abena, “Love Is Not a Game” showcases Abena’s signature ability to translate vulnerability into melody.
“With heartfelt lyrics, lush harmonies, and a vocal performance that feels both intimate and commanding, the track explores the courage it takes to love with honesty — and the strength required to walk away from emotional uncertainty,” Williams told Caribbean Life on Monday, Feb. 9.
Amory, a Brooklyn resident and daughter of late Nevis Premier Vance Amory and Vincentian virtuoso soprano Erlene Williams-King, said, “’Love Is Not a Game’ came from a real place,
“It’s about choosing yourself, choosing truth, and refusing to settle for love that feels inconsistent or confusing,” she said.

Williams said the single continues Amory’s rise as “one of the most compelling new voices in Caribbean soul music.
“Known for her warm tone, poetic storytelling, and magnetic stage presence, she has steadily built a reputation for crafting songs that resonate deeply with listeners, navigating love, growth, and self‑discovery,” he said.
