Jamaican-born, Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Minna LaFortune has released “My Love, My Love,” a tender Latin-flavored ballad exploring vulnerability and the delicacy of opening one’s heart.
Favoring Latin romance and melody over traditional reggae, LaFortune says “My Love, My Love” features gentle rhythms, warm instruments, and heartfelt vocals.
She said, “The song captures intimacy where love is strong yet fragile, led by the repeated plea: ‘Please be careful with my heart.’ Its simplicity is its strength.”

LaFortune said that through repetition and melody, she created a song that feels personal, sincere, and universal.
She stated, “Themes of longing, reassurance, and honesty make the song relatable across cultures and musical styles.”

“This song is about loving deeply and trusting your heart to someone,” she adds. “I aimed for softness, romance, and emotion — like a quiet conversation between lovers. The Latin sound brings warmth and passion.”
LaFortune said,  “My Love, My Love” reflects her artistry: global influences with soulful storytelling.
While rooted in Caribbean sensibility, this release, she said, highlights Latin-inspired romance and expands her sound into a more melodic, ballad-driven space.#
