Don’t Pass the Peppa Sauce will host a “Coquito Caribbean Christmas Show” at The Tank Theatre on Nov. 16, 2019, at 10 pm.
This is the third show Don’t Pass the Peppa Sauce has curated since the company’s inception in 2019.
“Don’t Pass The Peppa Sauce” is a Caribbean sketch comedy team dedicated to creating an environment of inclusion and opportunity for Caribbean writers and actors. Within the first year of performances, the team has twice sold out The Tank Theatre.
The director of the team has eventually struck a deal with Netflix and the team is continuously expanding.
The Coquito Caribbean Christmas show will highlight all of the stereotypical traditions and cultural customs every Caribbean faces during the holidays. “Enjoy the island vibes with complementary Coquito, rum punch, and edible treats as we wander across the many twists and turns with the three wise men who aren’t wise enough to find Jesus in time for his birthday. Or do you ever wonder if Scrooge was Guyanese? What about the person who saved Christmas, was it really Santa or a Jamaican?,” states a release from the group.
The team invites everyone to come out and discover who really makes the best rum cake on Nov. 16 at 10 pm in Tank Theatre (312 West 36th St, 1st Floor)! The stage director is Jordana Persad, script director Gregory Cornejo, and technical director is Samantha Torres.
