Happy Mother’s Day!

The modern version of Mother’s Day in May was started in the United States in the early 1900s, according to research.

The original impetus behind the day was the work of Anna Jarvis, who had the idea of a day for honoring mothers after her own mother died in 1905. The first day was organized in 1907 as a worship gathering at an Episcopal church in West Virginia. Later, Jarvis becomes a bit upset by the commercialization of the holiday.

May 11, 2024, is national Mother’s Day, a wholehearted celebration honoring the extraordinary power of women who share love. Matriarchs across the boroughs will be greatly admired on this special day with special gifts and be entertained at several events across the boroughs.
