Helping Others to Help Themselves

The Organization for International Development (OID) Inc. hosts its annual Fundraising Spring Luncheon Sunday, May 6 at the VIP Country Club, 600 Davenport Ave., New Rochelle, N.Y.

In 1990, dentist Dr. Roy Streete and a group of caring individuals who wanted to improve the quality of life for the underprivileged in areas around the world, founded the Organization for International Development Inc.

Over the years, this group of volunteers has, and continues to travel to Jamaica and other areas of the Caribbean, Ghana, Ethiopia, Haiti, India and within the U.S. giving much-needed service in the areas of pediatrics, gynecology, medicine, social services, dental, ophthalmology, physical therapy, and computer science. Their motto, “Helping Others to Help Themselves” is an integral part of what the OID volunteers.
