The Lenox Road Block Association Alliance (LRBAA) and EmblemHealth will hold their first tree lighting and toy drive on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The festivities will feature Metro Steelpan Orchestra and other live entertainment on the premises of 270 Lenox Rd. (corner of Nostrand Avenue), Brooklyn.
“We are extremely proud to kick off this year’s holiday season by hosting our first ‘Lights on Lenox’ holiday event,” says LRBAA Chairperson Judy Spence. “As part of our commitment to fostering a strong sense of community within our area, LRBAA takes great pleasure in partnering with community residents, local institutions and business owners to present what will surely be an event to remember.”
The alliance, a community-based, volunteer-led organization that does not operate for profit, was founded by local residents in 2008 to organize and empower residents of Lenox Road between New York and Flatbush avenues in Brooklyn. LRBAA’s mission is to enhance the quality of life in our neighborhood culturally, socially, and economically. Members of the LRBAA unite to serve as a collective voice in support of our community.
EmblemHealth, Inc., through its companies Group Health Incorporated (GHI) and HIP Health Plan of New York (HIP), provides health care coverage and administrative services to approximately 3.4 million people.
