India completed a series whitewash against the West Indies as they suffered a 3-0 Twenty20 International defeat in their third match of the four-match series, with a seven-wicket defeat in the final contest in Georgetown on Aug. 6, 2019.

Defending a modest total of 147 at the Guyana National Stadium, the regional team was punished by half centuries from wicket / keeper / batsman Rishabh Pant (65 not out) and captain Virat Kholi (59) as India reached their target with five balls to spare.

Veteran Kieron Pollard scoring his first half Twenty20 century in seven years when he top scored 58 off 45 balls as West Indies scored 146 for six off their 20 overs, after being put in to bat.

Rovman Powell struck an unbeaten 32 off 20 balls but no other West Indian batsman managed to pass 20 in yet another disappointing performance.’

Fast bowler, Deepak Chakar, in only his second Twenty20 International, blew away the West Indies top order with three wickets for four runs from a three-over spell to earn the Man-of-the-Match title.

India won the first two Twenty20 played in Florida a few days before.
