Jamaica PM visits Lara Academy

Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley recently hosted Prime Minister Andrew Holness and his delegation on a tour of the Brian Lara Cricket Academy (BLCA) in South Trinidad.
Holness and his team met with West Indies icon, Brian Lara and the state-of-the-art academy, along with the Minister of Sport and Community Development, Shamfa Cudjoe and ministry officials, Urban Development Corporation (UDeCOTT) and the Sports Company (SporttTT).
The touring party was also on hand to greet young cricketers from the Samuel Badree and Darren Ganga academies both of which conduct their training and theory classes at the BLCA.

They witnessed part of the exhibition match between Badree and Ganga academy, boy’s team.

The Badree youths emerged winners. The dignitaries also visited the dressing rooms, pitch and corporate booths and boxes, among other areas at the facility.
The tour was part of the activity PM Holness, official visit to Trinidad for the 60th Independence celebration recently.
