West Indies Twenty20 Captain, Kieron Pollard has been named captain of the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force senior men’s cricketers in the upcoming Regional Super50 Cup tournament which will be played in Antigua and Barbuda. The tournament bowls off from Feb. 4 to 27, 2021.

The 33-year-old big-hitting all-rounder’s appointment by the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB) finalizes the management team of the national cricket squad following the recent appointment of David Furlonge as head coach and Sebastien Edwards as manager.

Pollard successfully captained the Trinidad and Tobago Knight Riders to victory in the 2020 Caribbean Premier League (CPL) T20 tournament and was an integral member of Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL), which won the tournament.

Under his inspirational leadership, the Red Force which is likely to comprise its top players, many are back home after representing the West Indies overseas, will be highly favored to win the regional championship.
