West Indies face tough task

West Indies will face some severe competition when they play South Africa in the upcoming series. Cricketers from the Caribbean are not strangers to the ball coming on to the bat, what should be strange is the manner in which South African bowlers will get the ball to swing.

Dale Steyn, Morne Morkel and Vernon Philander are very good at moving the ball around and at great lengths and the technique West Indies batsmen should apply is to learn the wickets quickly.

Many Caribbean batsmen love when the ball comes on to the bat but learning to control aggression will be a key factor because the South African cricketers are about the best in the world in fielding and catching.

Gayle, Braithwaite must give credible start

West Indies openers must give their team a solid start in order to get winning totals against South Africa in the upcoming Tests, One Day International and Twenty20 games. Chris Gayle and Kraigg Brathwaite will have to do some hard work at the top in order to lay the foundation in order to win the matches.

Marlon Samuels, Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Denesh Ramdin are experienced players with international experience and they are expected to displayed quality cricket.
