The Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) has announced plans to celebrate 26 Years of continuous service to the Small Business Community with an Official 26th Anniversary Membership Business Networking Reception, Thursday, August 25, 2011, 5:30 p.m. at Medgar Evers College, CUNY, New Science, Health and Technology Building, 1638 Bedford Avenue, Brooklyn, NY.
According to Dr. Roy A. Hastick, Sr., President/Founder: “As we prepare to celebrate and mark this major milestone, we seize this opportunity to thank CACCI members, corporate members and partners, other supporters and well-wishers who have helped to sustain CACCI over the years, and enabled us to survive and thrive despite many challenges. We also wish to thank our board of directors, elected officials, business partners, public and private sector agencies, and the wider community, who have helped us to reach this historic milestone.”
Distinguished Honorary Co-Chairs are: Mayor Michael Bloomberg; Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz; Congresswoman Yvette D. CACCI’s Accomplishments: We have conducted over 700 business development networking seminars and meetings which have attracted thousands of entrepreneurs, and in keeping with our contract with the NYC Department Small Business Services (DSBS), we continue to provide small business services in areas of access to small business financing, available resources for small business owners, financial literacy, job development, and MWBE Certification preparation.
Throughout the years, CACCI has engaged an array of distinguished speakers and resource persons from the public and private sectors, and in partnership with the Service Corps of Retired Business Executive (SCORE), CACCI provides weekly free small business counseling services to CACCI members and the small business community.
We are continuing to promote trade and investment opportunities in the Caribbean, continuing to manage the Flatbush Caton Market and we are nearing completion of the final stages of development of CACCI’s future home, the Caribbean Trade Center Business Incubator.
