CACNY Activities Year-round

CACNY Events

The Caribbean American Center of New York (CACNY) is a non-profit, tax-exempt, community based multi-service provider since 1987. All services provided to the community has been FREE to date, however, there are basic overhead costs that must be covered, hence we must have “fund raising events.”

CACNY also partnered with Bed-Stuy Restoration WIC Center donating a wide variety of “baby” items for over100 new mothers. CACNY recently joined with NYPD, WIADCA & Brooklyn Children’s Museum in sponsoring a special celebration for Caribbean Heritage in June. In addition at our recent Youth Symposium on Education held at Wingate High School, CACNY presented one new adult Bike in boxes to each of the 80 families that attended.

Our first of two such fundraisers for 2011 are our 10th ALL-INCLUSIVE FETE titled CIRQUE DU SOCA, which takes place on Saturday, Aug. 6 from 8:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. at TIKI VILLAGE CULTURAL CENTER, 5811 Ralph Ave., Brooklyn (near Foster Avenue) across from ‘Radoes’ Panyard. Limited number of tickets remain at $40 till July 25, after its $50 with more at the Door. For tickets, please contact: 718-625-1515 or 917-651-4499.
