The Jamaica Tallawahs started off their Caribbean Premier League in fine style defeating the Trinbago Knightriders by 7 wickets at The Queens Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad. Trinbago Knightriders batted first and scored 191 runs for 4 wickets with South African Hamishamla top scoring with 74 runs from 52 balls and Collin Munro from New Zealand 55 from 39 balls.


The Jamaica Tallawahs were cruising at 71 for 2 after 10[overs], for the next 8.2 overs it was some heavy hitting and brutal batting force from Chris Gayle. Gayle acored 108 runs not out from 54 balls with 11 sixes and 6 fours. He shared a partnership of 108 runs with Andre Russell with Gayle contributing 74 runs.
