Cricket West Indies (CWI) Director of Cricket, Jimmy Adams and West Indies Men’s Batting Coach, Monty Desai were recently in Trinidad collecting data form local coaches to help revitalize and mould the next generation of Caribbean cricketers.
Addressing more than 40 coaches at the National Cricket Centre in Central Trinidad, Adams emphasized the role of coaches in turning the tide for the regional Test team.
The former West Indies captain pointed out that the methods employed by coaches differ from island to island and the interactive session was a step in collecting data from those who are involved with working with young cricketers
Adams said it has been a challenge for coaches to create the perfect environment to ensure positive results.
West Indies Batting Coach, Desi, an Indian national who was appointed in 2019, is also a strong believer in building strong relationships to foster successful results.
