CWI signs five-year UK broadcast deal

Cricket West Indies (CWI) has scored another major five-year deal — this time with BT Sports for the exclusive live coverage of in the United Kingdom of all West Indies international home matches in the Caribbean.

The deal comes on the heels of a recent multi-million five-year broadcast agreement with ESPN Sports, which will see the broadcast of West indies Tests, ODIs and T20 internationals in ICC future tours program stating in March 2021.

As part of the UK agreement, BT Sport will have the rights to West Indies International home series against England, scheduled for 2022.

The upcoming series will have added interest as it will be the first time that the two teams will play the Richards-Botham Trophy series.

CWI President, Ricky Skerritt said England’s visits to the Caribbean are an iconic fixture in the international cricket calendar and regularly attract one of the largest live TV cricket audiences in the UK.
