Newly appointed West Indies Women’s Captain, Hayley Matthews wants to continue the progress of the side and is ready to step into her new role.
Speaking about taking up the leadership of the regional side, Matthews said, “it is definitely an exhilarating feeling.”
Matthews was recently appointed captain by Cricket West Indies.
She takes over from Stafanie Taylor who was at the helm since 2015. She said captaining the regional side was the pinnacle for any aspiring cricketer and now that she is in the post, she wanted to take the team forward and continued building on what was achieved by her predecessor.
