World renowned, ever popular and lovers rocker himself, the legendary Beres Hammond alongside Chaka Demus & Pliers, Harmony House musicians and D.J. Inferno will be performing at two shows on Friday, Aug. 22 in New York City at Bestbuy Theater in Time Square and Saturday, Aug. 23 at NJPAC in New Jersey. Doors open in NYC at 8:00 p.m., show time 9:00 p.m. and in NJ doors at 7:00 p.m., show time 8:00 p.m.

Jammins Entertainment is organizing the shows in collaboration with NJPAC, Harmony House and Western Union.

Attendees at a Beres Hammond concert will witness a veteran in his element, delivering each musical creation, in pitch-perfect harmony in unison with our life experiences. Leaving each person in attendance, swaying, singing along intimately connected with the lyrics of each song.

Hugh Beresford Hammond musical career spans over 40 years and has had a remarkable uphill climb both on the musical charts and in the hearts of reggae lovers around the globe with chart topping hits and noteworthy collaborations. Throughout each era, Beres Hammond’s music has been the anthem for the reggae generation starting in the 70’s with songs like “One Step Ahead” and continuing in the 80’s with tunes like “Groovy Little Thing,” “What One Dance Can Do,” “Settling Down” and the unforgettable duet with Maxi Priest “How Can We Ease the Pain.”

In the 90’s Beres topped the charts with songs like “Tempting to Touch,” “Is This a Sign” and “Respect to You Baby.” Within this decade, Beres Hammond has outdone himself releasing several albums including with hits such as “Putting up Resistance,” “No Disturb Sign” and the nostalgic melody of “Rockaway.” Beres most recent contribution to his musical vault is the “One Love One Life” album released in 2012.

Jamaican-born, John Taylor aka Chaka Demus and Everton Bonner aka Pliers are hailed as the first Jamaican duo to have three consecutive top five singles on the UK Singles Chart. Chaka Demus and Pliers are herald as having created one of the most sustainable duo’s within reggae history with legendary hits such as “Murder She Wrote,” “Tease Me,” “She Don’t Let Nobody,” “Twist and Shout,” “I Wanna be your Man” and “Gal Wine.”
