Fashion for the career women

Women shouldn’t sacrifice good fashion at the cost of their careers.

Women’s wear designer Beverley Olivacce is bringing the party to New York Fashion Week with a dual-themed runway show that will be followed by a reception.

“We basically have a line specifically for career women and we also have an evening, holiday line,” said Olivacce, a London native and Montserrat descendant.

Catering to both aspects of women’s lives, the show will feature her Spring 2016 designs though the career collection is available and showcased all-year-round.

The seasoned designer aims to balance both the glamor and work of women’s lives distinguishing both with two labels: Beverley Olivacce for the line of evening gowns and B-Olivacce for the line of career dresses.

“Women have another part of their lives — it’s the career, everyone works. I’m catering to both parts of her lifestyle,” she explained.

Though the focus is undoubtedly on the runway show, Olivacce aims to capture the fashion celebration in an informal cocktail reception. Opening the floor for all in attendance to mingle and discuss their favorite pieces.

“It’s a time when all of those who love fashion have a chance to come together, to view it, celebrate it and dream of the future of what they’ll be wearing, and just have fun because fashion should be about fun,” she said.

This is not Olivacce’s first rodeo at New York Fashion Week nor is her grasp on career and eveningwear new. Earlier this year she hosted a women’s empowerment brunch featuring two runway shows, career and eveningwear.

“My favorite when it comes to designing is always the evening wear. I love the red carpetness of it,” she said.
