Caribbean Life’s 40 under 40 Award recipient, Glenroy March, continues to reinvent himself. The master couturier successfully launched his D’Marsh Couture Signature Men’s Collection, in addition to D’Marsh body gel from his cosmetics line, to celebrate New York Fashion week on Feb. 20.

Finn Partners of New York welcomed the Jamaican-born fashion designer to their swanky 4th floor space on the upper Eastside of Manhattan where models showcased outfits against a red-pigmented backdrop.

The Fall 2016 Collection, said the talented March, was inspired by the brand’s red, black and white motif.

March described the line as mixed, and a little bit over-the-top, but clean in its craftsmanship. The twelve pieces were designed with patchwork, leather, python, cotton, and floral print, and accentuated with zippers, scarfs, bowtie, handkerchiefs and gloves.

“It’s about taking the solid and mixing it with the soft which is always the DNA that runs through the D’Marsh collection,” added the award-winning designer.

“This is a out-of-the-box collection,” I wanted it to be “signature men” so it would always carry through as I grow and develop into a better designer, said March who has an eye for detail and perfection.

D’Marsh’s debonair style jacket matched with floral pants, and another embellished with appliqué, lit up the line that included a back see-through tee, matched with white shorts, just to name a few, of the outstanding collection.

The Brooklyn-based House of D’Marsh CEO presented his models in a statuesque pose, some carrying decorative paint cans, paired with French wine bottles consistent with the brand red, white and black colors.

March, who mastered his craft at an early age and was trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, in addition to working alongside top designers such as Uzuri International, will every season from now on take a little bit from his D’Marsh Collection to create another collection.

His first men’s collection glammed up the runway of Seventh on Six in 2010 and has since evolved into an exquisite clothing line that has caught the eye of celebrities, and industry professionals alike.

With a constant pulse on trends and innovation combination, House of D’Marsh seeks to marry sophistication with fashion-forward sensibilities.

The classic pieces are reasonable in pricing, and could be found at dmarshcouture.com or Facebook – www.facebook.com/glenroy.march.
