Guyana emerging as ‘green state’: Prez

Underscoring the importance of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Agreement on climate change, Guyana’s President David Granger has underscored that his country will continue to pursue a “green” economy.

As such, Granger told the 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly Debate on Tuesday that the Caribbean Community (CARICOM)-member state “will be a reliable and cooperative partner in international efforts to protect the earth’s environment.”
