Guyana St. Roses Alumni Assoc. USA Inc. resumes Father’s Day honors

After a two-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Guyana St. Rose’s Alumni Assoc. USA Inc., is excited to once again honor males: fathers, grandfathers, husbands, brothers, sons, sons-in-laws, brothers-in-laws, nephews, and grandsons at a Father’s Day Brunch, Saturday, June 25. The sit-down gathering will begin at 11: 30 a.m. and end at 4 p.m.

Scheduled to be held at the Marine Park Golf Club, 2880 Flatbush Ave., Brooklyn, a week after the designated Father’s Day, according to the organization, the back by public demand event is considered “De Best Day Fete” in Brooklyn.

As part of the day’s festivities, three alumni Kenrick Thomas, chair of the St. Rose’s High School Board of Governors, Marc Mc Kenzie and Richard Ishridas will be honored. Other honorees are Robert Mc Rae, John Ramsundar, Earl Coy and James Massay.

Additionally, the Alumni will kick off the Labor Day weekend with an Anniversary Gala on Thursday, Sept. 1 at Russo’s on the Bay, 162-45 Cross Bay Blvd, Queens, from 7:00pm – midnight.

Past presidents, Compton Grose, and Lorraine Croft-Farnell, along with Edris Kamal Dookie, CEO MidAtlantic Oil & Gas Inc., and Satya Rangarajan of Enlightened Mgmt. Corp. will be the guests of honor at the evening of excellence.

Brunch tickets are $75.00 for adults and $40.00 for children. The Gala donation is $140.00 (all inclusive).  However, if both tickets are purchased, the donation is $200.00 (a savings of $15.00).  The final payment must be completed no later than June 20.  Popular DJ Flexx will provide music for both events.
