A depleted Australian team was no match for a strong West Indies side when they lost the five-match Twenty20 series (4-1) at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Ground in St. Lucia.
Australia was only able to scrape through the fourth match by a meager 4 runs.
In the final match last Friday night, the West Indies was victorious by 16 runs.
Opener Evin Lewis cracked 79 runs off 34 balls, hitting nine sixes to lead the hosts to their highest score of the series — 199 for eight.

Aaron Finch, looking to take control of the match halfway through their innings before Hayden Walsh .Jr and Fabian Allen combined getting the wickets of Finch for 34 and Allen was up to the task, running from 30 yards from wide long-on to take a spectacular one-handed catch to send back Finch back to the pavilion.
Chris Gayle then bowled three overs for nine runs to put Australia on the ropes to stem the boundaries as West Indies sealed the win, restricting the visitors to 185 for nine.
Andre Russell and Sheldon Cottrell each grabbed three wickets.
Stand in captain for the series, Nicholas Pooran, described the victory as a wonderful achievement saying the win will do a lot for the confidence of the team as it continues its build-up to the Twenty20 World Cup.
