Event space Room43 opens in Brooklyn

Sisters Marie Driven and Cindy Lee have collaborated in opening Brooklyn’s newest event space, Room43.

Driven, the Haitian-American co-founder of the boutique entertainment communications firm PlaybookMG, told Caribbean Life on Monday that Room43 opened on June 17.  thanks to the efforts of two sisters, Cindy Lee and Marie Driven.

She said the dynamic duo “wanted to create something special,” adding that they knew that they “could make it happen.”

Lee is the owner of event decor company Lillysbrust.

“The grand opening was a resounding success, with a host of notable attendees,” said Driven, adding that attendees included music artist/producer Ricky blaze; The Union Dj Kstarr; Kenya Cummings of I Am Caribbean; Morlene Chin, Brooklyn Community Director from Yelp; and Female Artist Steph G.

Driven said the event was sponsored by Belaire/Bumbu, with music provided by shockwave, DJ Crowd Control, DJ Young Kofi, Sweets bySteez, BrittsBalloonBar, Prime143, Dbp studios, Letetia Divine Creations, Her Kreative Touches and Hookahlaykayy.
